Information about data processing for membership and website use.
This notice explains the basic processing of personal data when submitting a membership application and using the website.
1. Controller
The controller is the Slovak Society of Olympic and Sports Collectors, Devínska cesta 92, 841 04 Bratislava, Company ID 42135681. Contact email: delej@sportmed.sk.
2. Data collected and method of sending
The membership application uses the applicant’s name and title, postal address, email address, telephone number, selected membership fee and confirmation of payment. The website neither sends this data to a server nor stores it; clicking the button only prepares a message in the visitor’s email application. Processing by the controller begins only after the email is sent or a paper application is delivered.
3. Purpose and legal basis
Data delivered by email or post is used to process membership applications, establish and administer membership, and communicate with members. The legal basis is taking steps prior to and performing the membership relationship under Article 6(1)(b) GDPR; compliance with legal obligations under point (c), where applicable; and the controller’s legitimate interest in protecting legal claims under point (f).
4. Requirement to provide data
The marked details are needed to assess and process a membership application. Without them, the application cannot be handled properly. Submitting an application is voluntary.
5. Recipients and automated decision-making
Data may be accessed only by authorised SSOŠZ personnel and email or IT service providers to the extent necessary for communication and operation. The website does not use automated decision-making or profiling.
6. Retention
Data is retained while an application is processed and for the duration of membership; afterwards, only for the period required by law or necessary to protect legitimate legal claims. An unsuccessful application is retained only for as long as needed to process it and complete any related communication.
7. Data subject rights
You may request access, correction, erasure or restriction, object to processing and, where applicable, request portability. You can exercise these rights at delej@sportmed.sk. You may also lodge a complaint with the Slovak Data Protection Authority.
8. Cookies and technical storage
The website currently uses no analytics or marketing cookies. It stores only an essential technical record that the cookie information notice has been acknowledged.
